HPDH -- in dialect.
I have to admit that I am not a great fan of the Epilogue. Furthermore, I was a teensy bit spoiled by the carpet book, and yarked a little in my mouth when I came to a certain conjoining of names. (No, NOT the big ship names.) But I've found a little Dialectizer which has made that passage slightly more palatable.
REDNECK: "Albus Sevahus," Harry said quietly, so thet nobody but Ginny c'd hear, an' she was tackful inough t'pretend t'be wavin' t'Rose, who was now on th' train, "yo' were named fo' two haidmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin an' he was probably th' bravess man ah evah knowed."
ELMER FUDD: "Awbus Sevewus," Hawwy said qwietwy, so that nobody but Ginny couwd heaw, and she was tactfuw enough to pwetend to be waving to Wose, who was now on the twain, "you wewe named fow two headmastews of Hogwawts. Oh, dat scwewy wabbit! One of them was a Swythewin and he was pwobabwy the bwavest man I evew knew."
SWEDISH CHEF: "Elboos Seferoos," Herry seeed qooeeetly, su thet nubudy boot Geenny cuoold heer, und she-a ves tectffool inuoogh tu pretend tu be-a vefeeng tu Ruse-a, vhu ves noo oon zee treeen, "yuoo vere-a nemed fur tvu heedmesters ooff Hugverts. Um gesh dee bork, bork! Oone-a ooff zeem ves a Slyzeereen und he-a ves prubebly zee brefest mun I ifer knoo."
Personally, I think "Redneck" would work better if it went all the way into "Foghorn Leghorn" territory, but it's a good start. Link here. ****NOTE: some of the dialects offered are potentially offensive. Gacked from somebody on F_W. Ooooops.... Aw, hell, you guys already knew I lurked there for the occasional hit of schadenfreude.
